UI/UX Design / Front End Developer
Location: Ferrymead, Christchurch, New Zealand

We are currently seeking an exceptional UI/UX Designer / Front End Developer that has at least five years commercial experience to join our team. This is a new role for the company, so it's a great opportunity for an ambitious individual with outstanding creative skills to make it their own.
We only want to hear from people who can prove a great eye for detail, true passion for design and an up-to-the minute knowledge of the latest and greatest in user experience design and development. You should be someone who relishes having major input into several different projects, delights in producing first-class user experience designs, and continually tries to make each new project better than the last.
You should have knowledge of and strong interests in:
- Bulletproof, cross-browser compatible HTML/CSS/JS
- Web performance optimization and best practices when coding
- Ways to integrate Facebook, Twitter and other APIs into a site
- A/B and MV testing with Optimizely
- Writing clean and sufficiently documented code
- Typography, white space and other details that occur when creating top notch designs
- Translating requests from non-technical staff into elegant and functioning websites
- A working knowledge of versioning systems (preferably SVN)
- Basic knowledge of PHP and PHP frameworks (from a designer's standpoint)
Other important parts of this role are:
- Being well organized and excellent communication skills.
- Having the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Skilled at planning and implementing design projects.
This is a full time position although contractor work is also a possibility.
